Safety relevant parts in the automotive industry are not rarely glued with Axel Wirth Maschinen GmbH’s machinery. Besides brake linings for sports cars, drum brake linings for trucks, brake linings as individual items for oldtimers or elevator brakes. Depending on the brake lining, often times solvent-containing adhesives are used. But Water based adhesives or glues also find their entry into the market. But as long as those still represent the minority, adjustments of the standard machines are necessary.
For that, our roller applicators type LW 100 or DWO are being used. It’s clear that process security needs to be top priority when it comes to safety relevant parts like brake linings. According to that, Axel Wirth Maschinen GmbH can look back on longstanding experience from production planning to implementation. Besides gluing of brake linings for automotive-, truck-, or elevator –sectors, we’re also operating with the inking or priming of narrow sides of drum brakes in those business segments. The trend of gloss-painting plastic material edges still persists as strong as ever. As new addition the product range, “Axel Wirth Maschinen“ developed a new method which is very reliable, delivers high stability in it‘s process and is also affordable. This technology is available as a single module or as complete plant for paintwork, featuring a dryer system for furniture edges with UV-gloss paint.
This is based on the technology which we’ve already established on the market since some years. The optimization of our roller applicator type DDWO brought us a step closer to our goal. The further development of Axel Wirth’s paintwork technology now made it possible to create highly glossy surfaces with just a single application of paint, completely free of structure.
Doesn‘t matter if smooth, embossed or brushed surfaces are to be coated. It also functions on all plastic material edges, wood, cork, tin, stainless steel and many other materials. We are using the know-how of over 30 years. The film of paint of course shouldn‘t be too thick, otherwise it would break when rolling-up. Since the production procedure of gloss paintwork is very complex in itself, it can only work in proper combination of mechanical engineering, roller specifications, speed, paint specifications and many other details and circumstances. Since we’re specialized and an expert in those matters, we can offer single stations for unit loads or coil. The spectrum of our goods and services includes the machinery for coating and can, if needed, also be winded and unwinded. Usually it’s about adhesive application or gluing processes. For this often times the dosing roller machine type DWO is used. Especially in the foam material area, shear force sensitive glues are common. Often times this affects the dashboard-, mattress-, car seat or padded furniture industry. Therefor Axel Wirth Maschinen GmbH developed several solutions together with the glue manufacturers.
Besides the application without development of shear force, also the supply of glue is solved on a considerate level. But also in the area of insulation material we had some homework to solve.
Applying cold PU glue to glue foam material and aluminum. With an open time of 40 minutes we’re able to process the PU glues with our LW 100 and LW 120. The rubber of the rollers is specially produced, so that the PU glue’s cleaners won’t damage the rubber.
Functional coatings are often being used in the area of insulation materials, which are water-based, but has it’s drawbacks with having a fast drying and granularity. Foam material manufacturers from several countries rely on the experience and quality of Axel Wirth Maschinen since many years.
