{"id":6338,"date":"2023-01-25T15:51:39","date_gmt":"2023-01-25T14:51:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/axel-wirth-maschinen.de\/WIP001\/honeycomb-panels\/"},"modified":"2023-05-15T10:59:44","modified_gmt":"2023-05-15T08:59:44","slug":"honeycomb-panels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/axel-wirth-maschinen.de\/en\/honeycomb-panels\/","title":{"rendered":"Honeycomb panels"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Honeycomb panels<\/h1>\n<h2>Honeycomb panels - Use of roller application machines<\/h2>\n<p>Among other things, in the automotive sector, in furniture construction or in the insulation material sector Honeycomb panels or honeycomb core is used.<\/p>\n<p>Gluing honeycomb panels or honeycomb panel cores is a frequent application on glue application machines from Axel Wirth Maschinen GmbH.<\/p>\n<p>Application examples are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Office furniture production<\/li>\n<li> Interior insulation - insulation materials<\/li>\n<li> Car interior fittings<\/li>\n<li> RV conversion<\/li>\n<li> Kitchen worktops<\/li>\n<li> Advertising stands<\/li>\n<li> Exhibition stand construction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The challenge here is that the glue has to be applied to the webs of the honeycomb core without tiling into the cavities.<\/p>\n<p>But the application amount must be so high that lamination is possible and firm.<\/p>\n<p>To do this, the viscosity of the adhesive, the roller surface and the production speed must match.<\/p>\n<p>In rare cases, the adhesive is foamed before application, we also have solutions for this.<\/p>\n<p>The foaming increases the surface of the applied adhesive, so a larger amount of adhesive can be applied to the small area of the bars.<\/p>\n<p>Our roller application machines are often used for this <a href=\"https:\/\/axel-wirth-maschinen.de\/walzenauftragsmaschine-lw-100\/\">LW 100,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/axel-wirth-maschinen.de\/lw-120-2\/\">LW 120<\/a>, or <a href=\"\/?p=248\">DWO<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The machines are either used as standalone machines or in a chain with expansion of the honeycomb cores, glue \/ glue application, lamination and press.<\/p>\n<p>Dispersion adhesives, which are applied with grooved rollers, are mostly used on our systems.<\/p>\n<p>This can be done either in the direction of travel or in reverse.<\/p>\n<p>You are welcome to try it in advance at our <a href=\"https:\/\/axel-wirth-maschinen.de\/testwerkstatt\/\"> technical center <\/a>.
